WAYS TO GIVE

Ascend Training Institute

The statistics are sobering.

Recent data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) indicate that:

There is strong demand nationwide for intervention and support as individuals and their families encounter long waits for limited services or are unable to find any options in their communities for treatment. The lack of available and effective interventions will cause these numbers to increase.

Through Ascend Training Institute, we can change the current situation.

The mission of Ascend Training Institute is to provide education and training in the innovative Interpersonal Whole-Brain Model of Care® (IWBMC™) to serve the growing population of families, children, and adults in need of effective therapeutic options for neurobiological disorders.

Much like a renowned teaching hospital or immersive learning practicum, Ascend offers a transformative experience in the field of IWBMC™ and is currently pending Assessment-based Certificate Accreditation Program (ACAP) accreditation. Located in the heart of Metro Atlanta, our flagship campuses serve as a hub for education, training, and cutting-edge applications, catering to current professionals and aspiring evaluators. Trainees engage in in-depth instruction, observation, and experiential learning opportunities with Jacob’s Ladder clients under the supervision of our certified IWBMC™ trainers. Trainees also have a chance to sit for the certification exam, which lets them become full-credentialed IWBMC™ Providers or Evaluators ready to deliver our specialized model of care in any setting.

What’s it like being an IWBMC™ Provider?

This lunchtime moment with Ms. Abby, Bryson, and Adele sums it up.

What draws me to JL is the clear impact we have on our clients and their families. Seeing my students change and progress is invaluable and so rewarding! One of the best parts about working with our students is the small daily moments—laughing with them, building rapport, and helping them progress toward their therapeutic goals, even in their hardest moments. Being a provider is a career driven by purpose, personal growth, and service to others.

– Abby W., IWBMC-CP

Neurodevelopmental Providers and Evaluators are highly skilled in our model of care, providing each client with therapeutic programming grounded in science and guided by love. Through Ascend Training Institute, we can train more providers like Abby to serve the ever-increasing number of children and adults navigating life with neurobiological delays and disorders.
